Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Sagely ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Sagely is a recipe management application that lets you import, create, organize, and cook recipes. It includes AI-powered features for recipe assistance, meal planning, shopping lists, and voice interaction.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
  • One person per account — do not share login credentials

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of recipes, photos, and other content you create or import into Sagely. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

When you share a recipe via a public link, you grant others permission to view and save a copy of that recipe.

5. AI Features

Sagely uses AI models from third-party providers to assist with recipe creation, suggestions, and chat. AI-generated content may contain errors — always verify nutritional information, cooking times, and allergen details before cooking.

AI features are provided "as is" and may change or be updated without notice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
  • Abuse AI features (e.g., using them for non-recipe purposes at scale)
  • Upload malicious content or files
  • Scrape or bulk-download content from the Service

7. Subscription & Payments

Sagely offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription. Premium features, pricing, and billing terms are displayed on the pricing page. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us if you have concerns.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI-generated recipes are safe for all dietary needs or allergies. Always use your own judgment when cooking.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sagely and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
