Switching from Paprika

Bring your whole Paprika library in one file.

Paprika can export everything you've saved as one file. Sagely reads that file directly, so your whole collection moves across without retyping a thing.

How it works

    Export from Paprika

    On a phone or tablet, open Paprika's Settings → Export; on a Mac or PC, choose File → Export with all recipes selected. Pick Paprika Recipe Format, and Paprika saves a single .paprikarecipes file containing your whole library.

    Open the Paprika tab in Sagely

    On Sagely's import screen, choose the Paprika tab and select that file. Sagely shows you a preview of what it found before anything is saved.

    Import

    A big library goes over in batches automatically, so it's fine to leave the tab open and let it run. Importing the same file again skips recipes you already have, so it's safe to retry if your connection drops partway through.

What carries over, and what doesn't

Titles, ingredients, method, servings and notes all come across. Recipes that started life at a web address keep that link. Being upfront about the rest: Paprika's photos and star ratings don't carry over yet, so those two are worth checking by hand afterwards if they matter to you.

The file itself can be up to 150 MB, which comfortably covers most libraries.

Bring your recipes over, then decide.

The free plan holds up to 50 recipes in total, and a Paprika import counts against that the same as any other recipe, so a bigger library will need the trial to bring everything in at once. Want everything in one go? The 7-day free trial (card required) lifts that limit while it runs, and you can cancel any time before it ends.
