Switching from Mealime
Your plan every week, and recipes you can always take with you.
Mealime (owned by Albertsons) has announced it is shutting down on 21 October 2026, and as of 26 September 2026 it offers no way to export your recipes first. If you have recipes saved there, this is how to bring them across before the deadline.
Three ways to bring a recipe across
Mealime has no export file, so there's nothing to upload in one go. But every recipe you saved there got in some way, and each of those ways gets it into Sagely just as easily:
Paste the recipe link
If a recipe in Mealime came from a website, find that same page (a quick search of the title usually finds it) and paste the link into Sagely's import screen. Sagely reads the page directly and keeps a copy of the original.Photograph or screenshot it
For recipes you can't find a source link for, open Mealime, take a screenshot (or a photo of your phone screen) of the recipe, and use Sagely's Photo import. It reads the ingredients and method straight off the image.Paste the text
Or just copy the ingredients and method as text and paste them into Sagely's text import. It works from plain text alone, no link or photo needed.
So this doesn't happen again
Whichever way a recipe comes in, Sagely keeps the original ingredients and method of every recipe you save alongside any version you make of it later, so nothing gets rewritten out from under you.
And your library is never locked in: every plan can export the full recipe collection as JSON at any time from Settings. If you ever need to leave, you take everything with you.
